夜の松本城、写真で見るライトアップされた姿

We went to see the beautifully illuminated Matsumoto Castle at night. The main keep of the castle is lit up year-round from sunset until 10 PM. While Matsumoto Castle is often remembered for its striking black exterior during the day, the nighttime illumination accentuates its white features, leaving a completely different impression.
夜の松本城の美しくライトアップされた姿を見に出かけました。松本城の天守のライトアップは年間を通じて日没から22時まで。日中は黒い城というイメージが強い松本城ですが、ライトアップされると白さが際立ち、全く違った印象を受けます。

Matsumoto Castle, reflected on the rippling surface of the inner moat stirred by the wind, swayed beautifully, and a lone swan swam around it.
風で波打つ内堀の水面に映し出された松本城はゆらゆらと美しく動き、その周りを一羽の白鳥が泳いでいました。

When you look into the illuminated water, koi gather around. Their movements underwater resemble the visuals of TeamLab Planets in Toyosu, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.
ライトアップされたところを覗き込むと鯉が集まってきます。水中を泳ぐ鯉がチームラボ・プラネッツ（豊洲）の映像のようで、非現実感が漂います。

The bright red Uzu-bridge that adds charm and color to Matsumoto Castle. This striking bridge was not present during the Edo period. Since it was built later, it has been left untouched without any repairs, and it is no longer possible to cross it today.
松本城に風情と彩りを添える真っ赤な埋橋。とても存在感のあるこの橋は、江戸時代にはありませんでした。後から作られた橋なので、補修されずに残されていて、現在は渡ることができません。

The Kourai Gate leading to the entrance, follows the Kuro Mon. 黒門に続く入り口の高麗門

The Kourai Mon is the entrance when visiting Matsumoto Castle. Behind the closed Kourai Gate, you can see the Kuro Mon (Black Gate). 松本城を観覧する際の入り口、高麗門。閉じられた高麗門の奥に見えるのが黒門です。

The Kourai Gate, build to enclose the Black Gage, features slit windows in its defensive walls for shooting at enemies on the opposite shore.
黒門を囲むように建てられた高麗門の控塀には対岸の敵を撃つための狭間も。

The illuminated Kourai Gate and its surrounding defensive walls are complemented by pine trees, adding to the scene’s charm. ライトアップされた高麗門と控塀の周りに植えられた松の木が趣を添えています。

Matsumoto Castle Park illuminated by lanterns. The soft glow of the lanterns creates a beautiful atmosphere in the park at night. Many tourists were enjoying the view of the illuminated Matsumoto Castle from benches and along the inner moat. On this day, most of the visitors were from overseas. The languages heard around the park ranged from English to Spanish, German and Dutch. It was a moment shared by many, admiring the stunning nightscape of Matsumoto Castle.
行燈で照らされた松本城公園。行燈の柔らかな光で照らされた夜の公園も素敵です。多くの観光客が公園内のベンチや内堀の前からライトアップされた松本城の風景を楽しんでいました。この日はそのほとんどが海外からの観光客。英語、スペイン語、ドイツ語、オランダ語など聞こえてくる言葉は様々。美しい松本城の夜景を共有したひと時でした。
