上高地の美しい自然に暮らす野生のニホンザル
I encountered a group of wild Japanese macaques living naturally in Kamikochi. It was incredibly cute to see a small baby monkey moving around in circles near its nearly motionless mother, so I photographed them with a telephoto lens.
Many people were walking along the same path, but everyone was so engrossed in their conversations that they passed by without noticing the monkeys at all. It was a perfect day in Kamikochi with a cloudless May sky. If you take a stroll, enjoying the sunlight filtering through the forest, the sounds of birds, the clear water, and the beautiful flora, you might notice the presence of Japanese macaques lounging with their companions, watching the passing humans.
上高地で野生のまま生息しているニホンザルの群れに出会いました。ほとんど動かない親猿の周りを小さな子猿がくるくると動き回る姿はとても愛らしく、望遠レンズで撮影しました。
多くの人が同じ道を歩いていましたが、誰もがおしゃべりに夢中で猿がいることに全く気付かずに通り過ぎて行きます。雲ひとつ無い五月晴れという恵まれた日の上高地。森の木漏れ日や鳥の声、澄んだ水や美しい草花を眺めて自然を楽しみながら散歩すると、通り過ぎる人間を眺めながら仲間とのんびりくつろぐニホンザルの存在に気づくと思います。
The Japanese macaques have fur almost the same color as tree trunks. Therefore, you might not notice the group of monkeys blending into nature, unless you look carefully. I was able to spot them because I was walking while searching for picturesque landscapes and photo subjects.
木の幹とほぼ同じ色の毛並みのニホンザル。そのため自然の中に溶け込む猿の群れはよく見ないと気づかないかも知れません。絵になる風景や被写体を探しながら歩いていたので見つけることができました。
